Rockery Labyrinth

The labyrinth in Peter’s rockery
In the large world of stones there is also a labyrinth. It is a 5-circuit, classical labyrinth with a larger center (Knidos labyrinth), whose way turns to the left first. I could participate to the construction by the drawing and by laying it out. That was on January 7th, 2006. Thus I regard it also a little as my baby, even if Peter is responsible all alone for the development. He has to contribute the ideas and the stones. His aim was to work 4 years to complete it. Now half the time has passed, and the child is in his prime.

Laying of the foundation stones: January 7th, 2006

Since that time many visitors brought their stones for the labyrinth, like Els and Marjke from Holland. Ilse will bring her stone from Vienna in July.
Some technical data should nevertheless be mentioned: The diameter is 12 meters, the center has 2 meters, from way axis to way axis it is 1 meter. The distance into the center is 104 meters and the walls measures 131 meters. A labyrinth is thus something, where on a small area a lot happens.
